The Little Superheroes event has changed due to the weather and is now a two part event on August 22nd at the Five Points Neighborhood Spot (originally scheduled for the Broad Creek Neighborhood Spot). The first part of the workshop is from 10am-12pm, with a Pizza lunch from 12pm-1pm and the second part of the workshop from 1pm-3pm.

Unreasonable Kids™ inspire little superheroes ages 6–9 to release their fight for good. The Little Superheroes 2-session Saturday workshop (August 8, 15) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm is filled with brain-based learning activities and a creative design curriculum to help little kids develop their social entrepreneurial super-powers while having fun. Also, Little Superheroes learn about sustainable development and how it's essential to change our world for the better.
About The Instructor
Ateba Gaines holds an MA in International Management and has worked for Nike Inc. (SE Asia Account). Ms. Gaines founded a social enterprise to fight human trafficking called Shoe Revolt. The social enterprise raised funds by auctioning celebrity shoes. Many celebrity supporters donated personal artifacts, and memorabilia to include Sarah Jessica Parker, Lea Michele, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Taylor Swift, Jada Smith, along with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran. Ms. Gaines was a finalist in the Women Deliver Social Enterprise sponsored by Clinton Global Initiatives, Featured Innovator and Featured Change Maker by ABCs 14C Campaign, and featured on MTV, MTV Exit, and MTV Act. Now Ms. Gaines is the founder of Unreasonable Kids™. Unreasonable Kids™, is a Social Entrepreneurship Educational Program: Training the Next Generation of socially aware Kid Superheroes.

NOTE: To maintain compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order 68 prohibiting gatherings of 50 people or more, attendance will be limited. OpenNorfolk Neighborhood Spots request full compliance on wearing of face masks, even outside! All patrons are required to maintain 6-feet of physical distancing at all times, and 10-feet of physical distancing when exercising. There are hand washing stations and hand sanitizers available. OpenNorfolk ambassadors are onsite to sanitize all tables, chairs and recreation equipment between every use and sanitize the full site every 60 minutes.
